You will be responsible for selling stand space on an established major consumer exhibition aimed at the beauty industry. We are launching a new beauty consumer title and there will be opportunities to sell display advertising into this magazine.
Key Responsibilities 
•Selling exhibition space and display advertising to some of the best brands over the telephone and face to face but with a large focus on telesales
•Researching and conducting sales campaigns to attract new business
•Following up campaigns via telephone and email
•Attend and actively engage target companies at exhibitions
•Build relationships and contacts with new accounts and create new revenue opportunities from untapped sectors

Your profile
•You should have at least one year’s experience in media sales and used to making high volume outbound sales calls

An account handling position specifically (Account Executive, Consumer/Lifestyle Public Relations) has been created to facilitate the continued efficient and profitable handling of a growing and increasingly more sophisticated and demanding PR client base.

Responsibilities & Pay

Assist in preparation and distribution of management reports, support month end process and other ad hoc duties as required by the finance function

£19,000-£21,000 DOA

Experience & Knowledge

Working within a finance/accounts function
Using an accounting package (ideally Sage or similar)
Previous accounts assistant experience is preferred for this role - within a high volume transactional retail business would prove beneficial
AAT qualified min level 3
Good working knowledge of Excel- including use of pivot tables

New Product Development/Pre-production manager (Beauty/Cosmetics Industry)

My Client has an exciting position for someone who has experience in the field, who understands the market and the compliance issues. Must be supremely organised, knows how to build and manage critical paths and good with data.

The role will require an extremely organised mind capable of multi-tasking under pressure. The position is critical to the smooth running of the business and will impact on and influence virtually all areas of the company.

The successful candidate will be experienced in creating and managing Critical Paths and be able to integrate current systems into a more manageable and streamlined structure.
A background in NPD and a sound knowledge of outsourced, offshore production will be vital as well as experience in supply chain would be a valuable.

The candidate ideally will have worked in the field of cosmetics or cosmetic gifting.

Flexibility required Full time hours 0900-1730 Mon to Fri
£34,000-£38,000 dependant on experience

Below are some specific tasks that will be part of the everyday job.

Production control

Design, maintaining and update the manufacturing manual.
Raising and generating of barcodes.
Generate product reference codes, adding to SAGE, including barcode information and pricing.
Raise purchase orders to include pricing, sample delivery dates, bulk ship dates and shipping information.
Sending PO’s to suppliers, also artwork when required, barcodes and fragrances.
Receiving and consolidating signed PO’s, checking pro-forma invoices for correct pricing, fragrances, delivery and sample dates, barcode numbers and shipping marks.
Generate production folders for each PO, keeping up to date with all relevant images, emails and images during the production process.
Check during the production run that suppliers are keeping to agreed production dates.
Check during the production run that suppliers supply images at all stages for approval.
Receiving and confirmation of production sample with design to confirm quality and standards are as preproduction sample.
Overseeing the ordering and packaging process and monitoring stock levels, updating SAGE with stock levels and price amendments when needed.
Recording on data sheets all colour matches, including factory numbers, date of request, sample delivery, bulk quantity required, delivery dates required of both samples and bulk shipments.
Receive proofs of final artwork, POS and labels from suppliers, forward to customers for approval, to include approval forms to be signed off by customers, keeping records of approved artwork. Forward any amendments from customers to suppliers and request new proofs for approval.
Maintain flow lines production/stock/sales information to enable correct placement of re orders.

Regulation approvals

Ensure all suppliers complete and sign the company Ethical Trading Policy document.
Requesting new suppliers and their products conform to the required EU regulations for the products and factories.
Request relevant safety data, MSDS sheets, ingredient lists and Safety Data sheet’s from suppliers, checking ingredients against government websites.
Forwarding all relevant information to Safety Assessor or equivalent qualified person to check and approve ingredients, labels and packaging conform to EU regulations.
Filing all safety information in PIF files for uploading to government portal, uploading as required and to ensure all information is current and up to date.
Supplying ingredient list and safety information as requested from customers.
Ensure all products are all fully compliant with EEC legislation before placement of PO.

Export customised orders

Generating PO for export orders, confirm with Export Sales details on customer purchase orders are correct, prices, product details, delivery dates etc.
Generating Sales/New Order sheets for Export Sales.
Send Cutter Guide or other relevant information when requested to export customers.
Receiving artwork from international customers, checking and approval of artwork for such details as company logo added, sending approved artwork to suppliers for production.
Receive proofs of final artwork, POS and labels from suppliers, forwarding to customers for approval, to include approval forms to be signed off by customers, keeping records of approved artwork. Forward any amendments from customers to suppliers and request new proofs for approval.
